Is Hanzawa a Good Husband?

I was rewatching Hanzawa Naoki, probably the best Japanese Drama of 2013, and I came across something I didn't like about Naoki. Now for those of you whom already watched the series, you know that Naoki is great. He excels everywhere and is an ideal role model. He's able to think steps ahead of all his opponents and can get out of even the most impossible situations by using his superior logic, great sense of justice and ethics, and impeccable memory.

So what bother's me about Naoki?

Naoki can't remember to get his sweet wife Hanachan one little souvenir! The great capable Naoki who could remember numbers from piles of documents can't remember to get poor Hanachan some Terra Salon rusks some biscuits? Come on now. To further emphasize this abject failure, she only wanted to help further his career! This is the introduction scene to Hana and shows her strong resolve. She is a great supporting character for Naoki and is unarguably one of the heroes of this show. Later in the show, Naoki shows his appreciation for Hana. He gasps shows his strong affection by patting her on the head and *gasps* putting his arm around her. It does show that he appreciative of her as he says later in the show that she is his everything. Still, you could have at least got her that one present Naoki. Disappointed.
