About Studying Japanese
These our tips from a native Japanese speaker/translator who lives in Japan. I think her tips are great! Thank you Kimura-san for your help!日本語の勉強に役立つ大切な事を紹介していきます。
I will introduce you to important concepts in learning Japanese.
まず、外国語を学ぶ際はやはりその言語を使う環境にいる事が大切です。
First, when learning a foreign language, you should be in an environment where you are able to use the language.
日本にいない場合は、出来るだけ日本語を多く聞く事を心がけましょう。
If you are not in Japan, it's still possible but you should try to be in a position to be exposed to Japanese as much as possible.
ラジオやインターネット等を活用する事をお勧めします。
I recommend that you listen to the radio or use to internet to listen to Japanese.
そして、話すことも大切です。
Also, it is important that you speak.
頭の中では文法等が分かっていても、いざ話すとなると上手くいかない時もあります。
If it is just in your head, the words may not come out when you really need to use it such as when there is an emergency.
なので、日本人の友達とゆっくり会話する事から始めてみて下さい。
Please try to start speaking slowly with your Japanese friends.
また、書く事もとても大切な事です。
Also, it is important to learn to write.
書く事が出来る様になれば、難しい漢字等も使える様になります。
If you are able to write, you will be able to use difficult kanji characters.
まずは、新聞や簡単な本の書き写しから始めてみて下さい。
First of all, try transcribing newspapers and simple books.
日本語はとても難しいですが、勉強のコツをつかめば、日本語の勉強がより楽しくなります。
Japanese is very difficult, but as you get the hang of studying, it will become more and more fun.
